My husband, Mark Bashaar, and I met in 1983 while working on a film project called "Children on their Birthdays" with the American Film Institute. He lived in San Francisco at the time, and although he was definitely "geographically undesirable" he stole my heart early on with the strength of his character. We married in 1987 in Monterey, CA and have a dream of retiring somewhere on the California coastline.
In 1991 I gave birth to the first of our three children, Cody. Cody is a normal teenager now and doesn't like school much. He is a talented writer, has just joined the Robotics team at Chaminade High School and is studying the bass. he enjoys video games (Halo 2 on XBox-live, Kingdom Hearts on PS 2, etc.) He's allowed 2 hours of TV weekly and watches Scrubs and Stargate.
In 1996 I gave birth to Lucas and Mark and I moved to West Hills. I have served in my neighborhoods for as long as I can remember. Lucas is active in soccer, baseball, piano and singing in a chorus.
In 2001 I gave birth to my daughter, Celeste. She enjoys drawing and constantly talks about wanting to move so she can have a horse.
Mark is an avid sports fan. We enjoy visiting his sister in San Francisco and going to the 49er games. We also enjoy going to Dodger Stadium to watch the Dodgers, but Mark still has his fan alliance with the Giants. I have successfully managed to create Dodger fans with the kids.
My hobbies include competitive poker playing and golf.
